Boundary Walk 17 – Tracing the Boundary Part One

Today Tim Campbell-Green led our archaeological exploration of the boundary from Tintwistle to Arnfield Farm. Some wonderful finds from the walk and many in-depth conversations had. All ages enjoyed de-coding the marks Tim found along the way, especially when locating the next OS bench mark on route. We even spotted some apotropaic marks on an old farm building situated by the farm track, near to the Pennine Way.
We hope to show the finds as part of an exhibition later on in the year and are currently working on ideas as to how to show the pottery and glass shards to share their stories.
