Visit to Peak District National Park Headquarters, Bakewell

During our meeting with Anna Badcock, Cultural Heritage Manager at the PDNPA, we were shown a copy of the original document that describes the Peak Park’s boundary in words alone. We knew that this document existed but had yet to read a copy. To our surprise the descriptions were scant on detail, which is fascinating considering it takes into account nearly 200 miles of the whole of the Park’s boundary. We were also shown archival material pertaining to the Park’s formation and ongoing documentation. We hope to go back soon to get some proper scans completed.
