Visit to CPRE Peak District & South Yorkshire offices, Sheffield

Speaking with Julie Gough today who introduced to us the work taking place at their offices to archive their collections and make available the wealth of material they have connected to the formation of the first National Park. Julie kindly allowed us to view one of the original maps, which showed the suggested boundary of the proposed park. It was interesting to see the sections that were altered and changed, a reflection on the many discussions (and disputes) that were taking place at the time.
