Wonderful day co-hosting an intergenerational sharing event with CPRE – The Countryside Charity. We are also grateful to our volunteers, visitors, VoxPops and PNDPA staff supporting the session and joining us for a for an informal afternoon of talking and sharing experiences relating to the Peak District National Park. The conversations covered so many area’s and topics, all connected to the boundary places of the first National Park.
Thanks also to the team at the Longdendale Environment Centre for allowing us to disrupt their displays and add our own touring exhibition consisting of images and video mapped projections.
“Physical proximity – mark on the map is 30 metres wide on the ground. Interesting as an area of transition.”
“People who go on green space outside their house but may never cross that road, never consider walking on the moors – my job is to get people to engage with that space and use it as a stepping stones.”
“When do you become aware that you are entering or leaving the NP? Does it matter?”
“(Boundary is) administrative, it’s a form of protection.”
