Longdendale Family Fun Day

We were pleased to launch our project at the Longdendale Activity Centre as part of their Family Fun Day in October. It was a great opportunity to meet families who are local to the area and many conversations were had about what it means to live, visit and work near to the first National Park.

During the day we provided a quick drawing activity to show how the boundary weaved along roads, river courses and moorland. A lot of discussion was had over the boundary line around Glossop, which is nearly a full circle. Perhaps a compass drawn representing a mile from the town hall or a more mundane use of an upturned tea cup providing a line around the town?
