Calling for contributions

Whilst meeting up or travelling during this time is not possible, we do still want to hear from you. We are keen to record your memories, your stories, your personal connections to living and/or working in and around the north west boundary, from the north of Glossop, to the top of Saddleworth Moor.

If you would like to talk to us, just email info@glassball.uk and we can arrange a time to speak over the phone or via Zoom. We are looking for lots of information to inspire and share alongside archival material, to create a bigger conversation around the notion of a boundary. Your stories can be based on real experiences or purely fictional, they can be written responses to a place along the boundary in question, or photographs, drawings, as well as linked artefacts. It is up to you what you would like to share with us, as long as it has some tangible connection to the boundary of the first National Park.

Throughout this project, we want to add your stories to an ever growing map rooting your personal thoughts, ideas, memories to specific places along a boundary that will celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2021. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
