Our exploratory boundary walk today was an opportunity to meet and talk with the artist Dr Alison Lloyd (http://alisonlloyd.co.ukhttps://tsoeg.org/artists/alison-lloyd/). Alison’s practice is centred around walking or ‘contouring’ and photographing herself where elements of her walking gear find their way into the edges of the image, contrasting with the vegetation of the Dark Peaks. Our conversations shifted as the terrain changed. We walked the NW boundary north of Tintwistle, moving away from the boundary mark on the map and followed the ‘Boundary Walk’ route that took us up along the Pennine Way to Higher Swineshaw Reservoir.
